Black Sands Necklace

Indonesia has many beautiful beaches, some of them being black sand beaches- “pasir hitam”. This necklace was inspired by the black sand beaches you can find scattered all throughout Indonesia. Many locals gather every evening at these black sand beaches and bury their bodies under the sand to use as a “scrub” for their skin. 

This natural wooden bead necklace is a combination of 9 beads in 2 unique colors and 5 different sizes. Each bead is hand-drilled, sanded, and painted with the highest quality non-toxic, water-based paint. Beads range in size from 1 cm to 2.5cm in diameter and are strung together with locally sourced soft leather cord.
